Where are you from originally?
RR: Outer Banks, North Carolina
How old are you?
RR: 33-years old
How long have you been bodyboarding?
RR: Now, I can proudly say - “Over half my life”
Where do you bodyboard normally?
RR: Kill Devil Hills’ sand bars or Rodanthe
Who do you bodyboard with?
RR: Lots of Riders locally out of VA and here. Drexler, Dan Cera, Mike Ziener,Tj Bananno, Chad Morris, etc.
What is your favorite bodyboard spot?
RR: Can’t tell ya, haha
Where have you traveled to bodyboard?
RR: Hawaii, Mex, Costa Rica, Panama,Puerto Rico, West Coast, up and down the East Coast.
Where do you want to travel to bodyboard?
RR: Europe,Bazil, Indo, Aus, EVRYWHERE!!!
What board(s) do you ride?
RR: I ride my personal model Quest III by CustomX shape to perfection by the MASTER PMA!!
Do you compete?
RR: Yes
If so, what competitions have you competed in?
RR: USBA and any BBing contest that comes my way
And what are some of your contest highlights?
RR: I was 2-time eastcoast Dropknee Champion when the ABA existed. I got 3rd and 4th in the
USBA DK Pro here on the east.
Do you have any sponsors? What companies?
RR: CustomX, Savage Clothing, Bully’s, OBBC Surf Shop
What other board sports do you partake in?
RR: LongBoard, Boogie, Skim, Short Board
What bodyboard goals do you have?
RR: Maintain and gain more respect for our sport
Where do you see the bodyboarding going in the future?
RR: I would like to see us in the Xgames on day or respected on the same level.
What riders influenced your bodyboarding?
RR: Fred Booth, Manny Vargas, Kianoa, Roach, Wise and mainly my friends.
What riders are pushing the sport right now?
RR: Hubbard Brothers an too many others to mention,soo much skill out there now, it’s awesome!!
If you were stranded on a desert island that already has a plentiful resource of bodyboards and fins what three things would you bring?
RR: My fishing rod, a good knife and my woman.
What is the best advice you can give to a bodyboard grom trying to get recognized?
RR: Stay honest, don’t be desperate, know that you love it more then the anything and know that you will be judge in a long term perspective, so don’t burn any bridges and don’t lie down with dogs.
